Another 4 year vacation for Obama in the White House. Check.

What a crazy and mixed response by Americans for Obama's victory for a second term! The venom and toxicity is running high at this point of time. Just look and observe the Twittersphere and Facebook Wall!

Relax everyone. Relax.

It's a party for the Democrats!!

Sprinting to 12/31 | Turbo-Charged + Hyper-Motivated

How many days are left before we usher in 2012?

September: 28
October: 31
November: 30
December: 31

Total: 120

I just wrapped up a sweet summer vacation in the States, having spent most of my time in Los Angeles, [CA], San Francisco [CA], Santa Monica Beach [CA], Bakersfield [CA] and Las Vegas [NV].

I have to do some packing *NOW* [next couple of weeks] as I gear up to conquer Fall 2011 semester at TTU. I am excited as I am developing a new software for an oil-field that will incorporate production optimization systems and algorithms!

Summer Lovin'!!

My summer has officially begun earlier this week with my flying out to California and starting my summer assignment as a Reservoir Engineer.

I have planned several *NEW* activities and events I would like to get involved with. The list is still is being prepared but one of them includes igniting the musician in me as an artist and producer.

Others such as surfing, relaxing on the beach...are a given. It's time to enjoy summer 2011!!

Epic Times...

We are living in epic times. As I 'boom boom powed' my term projects preparing for my summer, 2 REALLY BIG events have dominated the media waves. And they seem to be all in the dark hours of the night.

1.) Royal Wedding of Prince William and Katie Middleton. The whole ceremony was precious and romantic. Two kisses on the balcony was simply ♥. I am very happy for them and the memories of Princess Diana kept hovering around my head. I was a young boy [around 11] when her Paris-crash happened. Personally, I feel that today's joyous celebrations somehow ended what began 14 years ago and opened a new chapter in the British Royal Family.

2.) Death of Osama Bin Laden by US Military. I was in the Texas Tech library basement around 10:15 pm when my Facebook simply flooded with EVERY status update being about Osama Bin Laden's death. Divine Justice has been served. God Bless America. God Bless the World.

The best way to sum it up: "A common girl marries her Prince in a fairy-tale wedding (watched by 2 billion ppl). The bad guy is dead. It's a real Disney weekend here on Earth!!"

Sleep Management

How many hours does one need to sleep on a daily basis?

6? 8? If you are a baby, you need more than 10-12 hours...

My recent strategy has been to sleep 50 hours a week. Keyword here is 'week'. If that means pulling up all-nighters every now and then, I can use the remaining days to average it out.

I woke up yesterday after 16 hours of hibernation and I was ready to conquer the world!

Ideal Academic Environment

What is your style of academic learning? Is there a particular environment that is conducive to you?

I see a lot of my friends studying in the library of my University campus [Texas Tech University - http://www.ttu.edu/]. Others choose to lock themselves up in their bedroom and turn their table-lamp on until the paper is completed.

For me, it's neither.

I try not to follow a set pattern for my academics. [I am currently pursuing a Graduate Degree in Engineering]. I like to develop my own "jutsu" or technique that is custom-tailored to meet the objectives of the assignment. This involves extensive planning before even starting the assignment. And planning involves  the mind. Attaining efficiency while studying is a big priority for me.

What this means to me is that it's really more about the mind and NOT the place. The ideal academic environment for me starts mentally and then translates onto a physical space wherever I happen to be.

What about you?
